anyone got any advice about a comparison b/w the Sony T700 and Canon 880IS? I've looked at all the specs. I just want some user reviews...
TIA

canon>sony
the only beneficial thing about sony is that they carry the carl zeiss lense. thats about it, i personally wouldn't buy one.
canon is far superior in image processing, their lense is fairly comparable to sony.

Canon
Sonys tend to be much noisier, and have much much more contrast and saturation in pictures making things too orange-ish. I've owned both Sony and Canon point-and-shoots and there really is no comparison; well, Sony's are more aesthetically pleasing.

Agreed Sony's cams are more aesthetically pleasing but do generate more noise usually. However, there is one benefit being over looked.
The Sony comes with 4GBs of internal memory so you don't have to buy extra...not that it would cost you that much. But for sure Canon will probably give you the better picture and be cheaper.
