I want to get my son either Guitar Hero World tour or Rock Band 2 for Christmas. I have a few questions:

Which one is better for kids, my son is 11?
I have read complaints about GHWT have some issues with instruments not working, has this been fixed?
Does it make a difference of which system, Ps3 or Xbox 360 to buy it for?
What makes one better than the other?

Any info/recommendations on which one to get would be great.

i personally like rock band series more than the guitar hero series, so i would say go with the rock band....if your son plays online, then i would recommend buying the game on the 360 as I feel xboxlive is superior online gaming service.

Review the song lists and pick the game that most closely fits your son's music tastes.
