Can you recommend a good electric shaver (for men)? My husband wants one and I want to buy him one, but I'm not sure which one to buy and which are a waste of money.
Thanks!

how much are you willing to spend? is this for christmas? i believe best buy offers a 14 day satisfaction guarantee so if he doesn't like how it shaves he can come in and swap out for a different one. I am not sure exactly, but i believe BB offers that service. I know CC offered it, but they have a terrible selection...if you have a FRY's, they definitely have that service. Not the best deal, but you can get him one that he will like.

Do you have a budget in mind? Braun shavers are really good, but little on the high end ($200+) for their top of the line model. I had a braun and it lasted me almost 10yrs before I had any problems with it. Right now, I use a panasonic vortex which is also good and less expensive too, where a complete vortex system can run you around $100. I've never used a Norelco, so can't comment on that.

It also depends if his skin prefers the screen or the foil shavers. I have used both, and got irritation from the foil (circular discs), but no problems with the screens. Hope that helps.

Braun is definitely worth the money, and will most likely save you in the long run.

I've been using electric shavers for about 20 years now. The BEST I've ever used is the Braun Pulsonic. Smooth, quiet, and effective. I picked a braun because the last razor I had (remington) needed batteries and I took it to a specialty shaver store (repair and sales). After the guy replaced the batteries I asked him what was the best shaver in terms of maintenance and warranty service. He said Braun is by far the best. I decided then and there to get a Bruan the next time around. Two years later (last christmas) I got the Pulsonic and have be extremely pleased.
hope that helps....

Do a comparison of different brands at Wize.com or epinions.com Norelco is good in general. At Costco, you can get a mid to top of the line one for about $100. With Costco's satisfaction guarantee, you could always return it. If you don't have a membership, ask a member to get your a $25 gift card. That will get you a one day shopping pass.
Peace,
