Hi!

I'm trying to decide whether or not to pull the trigger on the 46" Sony LCD 120hz 1080p deal at CC today...

Right now I have a Toshiba 46" 720p DLP (46HM95). So basically it would be same size - just an upgrade elsewhere.

Is it really worth spending the money to upgrade the picture? Will I really notice the difference?

Originally I was going to wait for a 52" (or around there) TV deal to upgrade for the better picture, but since this Sony one seems to be a great deal I just dont know if I should do it or not. :)

Thanks...

unless you need another 46" tv in your house, probably not...do you have a blue ray player? if so you will see the difference, if not, then save your money for the future gen tvs

Yeah... we've got PS3, Xbox w/ HD-DVD add-on... Directv HD. The TV we have now is fine - just would love to get the 1080p even though I can't tell if I could really see the difference. :)

you will definitely see a difference with the blue ray with the tv having 120hz.

Directtv doesnt even have 1080p right now.

I don't think that you'll notice a difference due to the resolution, but you will see a difference going from a rear-projection to a flat panel.
