I was wondering what everyone thought about these. There's a few I'm looking at (Sunbeam, generic target/walmart brands), but all the reviews are mixed 50/50. I would like to know which brand is you find satisfying. Also, which ones are durable and last for a few years, which ones have wires you can't feel, what kind of material -fleece, microplush- is better.

I think I'm looking for a throw blanket? something used in a chair, not the bed

Thanks!

Wifey and I have a queen size Sunbeam on our bed. We have it between a sheet and the comforter, so we don't feel the coils. We turn it on 20 minutes before getting in bed to warm the sheets. On very cold nights, I sleep with my side on the whole night. But I don't think they would be comfortable for a throw blanket because you will feel the coils.

We have a velux throw blanket that feels like fleece but is super warm.

I have tried the generics and the sunbeam blankets, they all usually only last a couple of winters. Though my Mom has one from like the early 80's that is still going strong, go figure.......
