Hey folks,

I have to put together a slide show for a church anniversary dinner and there will be a hundreds of photos. I can't possibly do that in Powerpoint, especially since they are going to be high resolution because they are running on a projector.

Although it would be nice just to use my Wii - I have to use a PC.

I tried looking through CNET - but their reviews are well not that great and Google gives me too many results.

Does anyone have any experience with some "professional" looking software for slide shows of digital pictures?

Freeware is always better :)

Hello!
This software is pretty good and it's free;)
The Picture Studio Professional Suite:

Also consider Microsoft Photo Story 3:
Free, easy to use, does not require a powerful computer.

Download Link:

The program is simple, I was able to create a video without reading tutorials.
Just added pictures, a song, and played the resulting video.
More powerful options (ie Ken Burns Pan & Zoom etc.) available for advanced users.

When saving output file, the highest resolution setting was 1024 x 764.
