Does anyone have anything specific about this tv compared to Vizio or another inexpensively priced one? Walmart first had Panasonic then replaced with RCA. Over the weekend, they ran $598 for the Sanyo. I saw on another thread that the RCA was much better quality than Panasonic. So now I'm just wondering if Sanyo is better than those two. The manager offered me a 42" Sanyo or similar tv when they get a shipment. I'm just wondering if I should take the raincheck for Sanyo or another brand.
Any opinions would be appreciated. Thank you!

Are we talking LCD's? If so, In my opinion, the Panasonic LCD was the better Tv out of the three. CNET and Consumer Reports have always rated them higher over the last 3 years. The Panasonic uses an IPS Panel, none of the other models have it.

But you must be talking about Plasma Tv's because you mention a 42" Sanyo to replace the RCA which replaced the Panasonic. I assume this because Panasonic does not make a 42" LCD, and I'm assuming they were replacing each preceding TV with the same size/differant manfacturer. Anyone would need more clarity in the information regarding model #'s to make comparisons. Otherwise we're just commenting on overall brand preferances. I'm sure each Manufacturer has a top end model that could be said was better than another maufacturers low end model.

Thank you... I was looking at LCD's, but maybe the Panasonic and RCA were plasmas and I didn't realize that. Thanks for the info... I hope to buy an LCD some time before/after the holidays, so I appreciate the info.

I got it... For $598, I figured I couldn't go wrong. They had one set up in the store and the picture looked fine. So I bought it and got it all hooked up yesterday. Nice picture. I don't have high def yet, so some channels aren't as good as others. But overall, it's a much nicer tv than the one I used to have.
