Thats a mix in my mind... the sleeves look real, (thicker than fakes usually) but the lining looks crappy.

I'd go with it, my guess is that its real, if it turns out fake file a paypal resolution =P

That would be a lot of effort to fake a brand that only skiers and snowboarders know about. If you were going to fake it I would think you would make a burton or north face product.

It's all made in China... even if it's a fake, a grade AA fake will actually just be a factory second (ie, same materials, same factory, just different color cloth). as long as it's a top grade fake, it's the same thing. lol

anyways, looks real enough to me. you can always try to match it up with spyder's past product line catalogs, but keep in mind that not all styles were available in all markets.

Otherwise, pay with an Amex card. :-)

According to this guide (http://reviews.ebay.com/How-to-spot-Fake-Spyder-Jackets_W0QQugidZ10000000004648135?ssPageName=BUYG D:CAT:-1:SEARCH:1) posted on eBay it's fake. I hate buying clothes on eBay, most of it is fake. Why do you think they can offer a $500 jacket for 65 bucks + shipping?

I'm an airline pilot and I'm in Shanghi right now and just got back from shopping for some spyder gear. I've bought a few things here before. The kids two piece suits are around $30 and the mens jackets are also around $30. You can also buy them off the internet if you do a google search for spyder shanghai. I was in a ski shop in Portland the other day and was checking out the Spyder gear there. I must say I can't tell the difference and I have a pretty high level of attention to detail. The Durzimax or what ever it's called that's suppose to be waterprof is the key I think. The suits I bought for my kids have every zipper and piece of velcro with embossing just like the ones I saw in Portland. If they are fakes then they are really well done and worth the $30 even if they are fake. I have not tried to see if the jacket is actually waterproof. The apperance of the outer material was identical between the jackets for sale in Shanghi and Portland. I guess if you are going to use the gear day in and day out, or going to be out in the rain you should purchase it in a ski shop that is an authorized dealerand know it’s the real deal. I go skiing a couple of times a year and the jacket I just bought for $30 is the nicest ski jacket I’ve ever had. If you buy one of these off Ebay I just wouldn’t pay to much for it if you are hard over about it being authenic. Why would someone buy a $250 jacket in a ski shop not ware it and then blow it out on ebay for $100. Use your head. All the jacket they have in the market are very nice espically for the money. I honastly can’t tell if they are knockoffs or just go out the back door of the factory. I hope this helps.

I've had the jacket I bought in Shanghi the other day now for over a month now. I went on a 4 day snowmobile trip in Qubec last month and a ski trip last week. The the jacket was excellent. On the snowmobile trip we were at -30C and 50Mph at times and I was never cold. My face was cold and my hands were cold but the jacket was great!! There was no air infiltration. I have not had the jacket in the rain yet, but it has gotten a little wet and It apprears to be water resistant but not water proof. I am very happy with all the Spider gear I bought in Shanghi. I think they must sell in waves the items that are being produced in the actual factory at the time. While I was skiing I saw a number of Spider jackets that were different from mine but alot of the faseners and zippers were the same. I'll see over time as I go back there. The jacket is great; they are available and inexpensive in Shanghi. Good luck:nod:

I just picked up a brand new Spyder jacket on ebay for $10. Funny, no where in the auction did it say it was a Spyder, I just liked the way it looked and really wasn't paying attention to the 1 bad photo of the jacket. It has the spyder tags, buttons, logos, webbing everywhere.

It feels like a good heavy jacket to me. I am just wondering if I am breaking the law by wearing it? I am assuming it is fake, but even if someone comes up to me to tell me it is fake, I can remind them that I paid $10 for my fake Spyder and be happy. That is assuming that they can't arrest me, or take my jacket right there.

Before I take this jacket out, I just want to make sure I will be coming home with it.
