I have dry skin and currently am looking for a good face cream or moisturizer. Does anyone have any recommendation?

1. Depends on how dry your skin is...
2. Depends on your budget...
3. Does your face wash contribute to your dry skin? (use mild soap, i.e. Dove, or preferrably a non-soap cleanser, i.e. Neutrogena fresh foaming wash. Stay away from alcohol based toners & BPO's).
4. Drink lots of H2O...

Over the Counter = Cetaphil or CeraVe, Neutrogena Healthy Defense (has built-in 45 SPF), and Eucerin (very greasy, but tolerable if you have very dry skin that soaks up anything you put on it). Even Ponds or Oil of Olay are good.

Prescription = Mimyx, or Hylira lotion (only 6 ingredients - so very hypoallergenic - clear liquid which dries completely in about 45 seconds, yet excellent at locking in moisture. By far my favorite, but can be a little pricey - ~$70 for 12 oz.)

There are thousands more on the market, but these are arguably some of the best based on price, efficacy, and availability.

Hope this helps...
Good Luck!

I like the Neutrogena. Also some of the CO Bigelow stuff is good as well as the Crabtree & Evelyn post shave soothing lotion.

I get really dry in the winter. In the morning, I use this Aveeno ultra calming spf15 stuff, & I carry around a sample bottle of Aquaphor Healing Ointment(feels like a mix of cortisone, vaseline, & lotion). If I'm blemished, it literally clears me up in like an hour. It's greasy enough to protect myself from the wind when I go biking.

I've used Finelle's Night Emulsion for over 30 years. I'm in the weather all day (own landscape company). It requires a very small amount - use it once a day after showering/shaving. Cannot buy OTC - contact Betty Costello 1 800 956 5652.

I have used Neutrogena Men's Age Fighter Moisturizer for a few years now. I love it, it doesn't make my face oily and it works great. Its like $13 for 1.4 oz container but its well worth it. I haven't seen it in stores lately and hope that they haven't discontinued it.. but if you can find it, it's well worth it.

I have eczema and I have been using dove face cream on my face. But for the entire family and the rest of our bodies we have been using aquaphor, it has done wonders for our eczema. It is pricey but worth it. I have to buy 3 containers a month. Walgreens usually has it for $16 walmart is sometimes cheaper. I am looking for coupons now.
I also put a little babyoil i bath water. Goog luck

When my boyfriend shaves, his face is dry for hours. But, he's used cocoa butter (inexpensive, in any drug store, he likes Palmer's), it's soothed for the day. And it smells great!

I just got some Shiseido moisturizer for men for $50. Not sure if the OP is a guy or girl. So far it's hard to tell if it's working. I love Shiseido. I bought their shampoo and it works as advertised. Very smooth on the hair and skin and leaves hair fuller and more manageable. Yes, I know $50 is not a Slickdeal, but I'm single and I have a decent job, so I figured what the hell. They also have a moisturizer specifically designed for guys who just shaved and need to soothe irritated skin as well as moisturizer for around the eyes where wrinkles develop. Shiseido is not cheap, and it's designed by asians for asians. Not sure if the OP is asian or not, but even if not, you can try it anyways.

I use Cetaphil because its oil-free and won't clog your pores. Also it trapts moisture in your skin. You can get it at Walgreens, Wal-mart, or any grocery store. I think its about $9.99. Hope that helps!
