haven't seen the ad, but the answer is always diet and excercise.

Body areas aren't reduced by exercise but by diet, liposuction, and atrophy, and to look thinner around the waist without surgery, lose body fat and building up muscle elsewhere on the body.

Have you ever noticed that people shown in exercise infomercials never used only the advertised exercise program or equipment to look the way they do?

I agree, dont waste your money. Re-evaluate your diet and step up your exercise plan to trim out that fat.

Spot reduction is impossible. Doing 1000 situps will not decrease the fat around your mid section. It may increase the underlying muscle and tension which seem like you've lost body fat but the only way is through diet and exercise.

Looking at it another way, ask yourself how your body processes food. It must go through your entire digestive system. Body fat must be processed through that same system and cannot be "shaped" or "melted" away.

Look at the wikipedia article about electronic muscle stimulation. Apparently it works.

Update: I found this link in another forum: ab belt review (http://www.mydietarea.com/reviews/ab-belt-review/)
I hope this is of some use!
