People told me venison (deer) jerky tastes really good. I only had beef... pretty much any jerky or slim-jim like products are beef. I look around convenient stores and supermarkets, but no where to be found. Anyone have an idea where I can get some good brand online? Maybe for a good deal too? thanks.

Homemade venison jerky FTW! It is so much better than beef.

Don't you know anyone who hunts? Every hunter I know gets it made when the slaughter a deer.

My uncle just made some (he's a butcher) and he mixes pork and all the spices and stuff together, not just venison, btw. He says venison is too dry to jerk alone

I found venison jerky years ago at a car show in Cleveland. The website is www.smokinoak.com If you like spicy/hot stuff, the hot venison jerky is awesome.
