There is no clear indication from the tech specs that these can accept USB audio. They only mention USB power....be forewarned. OP's title is completely misleading. USB speaker implies a speaker that accepts USB audio and power through the USB port. Here is an example of a similar system that uses 3.5mm for audio and USB for power: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0025VKUPW. Note that specs say "Connects easily through a USB port for power and sound" but this is proven incorrect by first two reviews. - bubbachuck

It is a nice improvement over built-in speakers on laptops and netbooks. That is the main purpose of this thing. However USB powered means it probably won't have much bass at all. It's one step above integrated speakers on laptops..and one step below regular desktop speakers.
