What is SDHC?

To support the higher capacity needs, SD cards are now requiring a different design. The new SD 2.0 specifications - which supports 4GB and up - is called Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC). The SD Association has created and defined 3 speed classes to help you identify speed and performance capabilities/minimum requirements of SDHC cards and their SDHC host products.

FYI, it is a class 2 device which means SLOWWWW. Info: http://www.funtechtalk.com/sdhc-c...ean-2-4-6/

If you do hi-speed shooting or high quality video mode in your camera, you'll likely have noticeable slowness (hi-speed shooting) or choppy videos (video mode).

I've seen similar speed cards for about $7 so it's a so-so deal. I got the same Ebay email this morning and was excited until I saw that it's a class 2. I'm sure it's fine for most people, but I was just providing information in case someone popped that in their beautiful new Canon SD780IS (that so many ppl are posting deals right now), then take an HD video of some important occasion, only to later find out when viewing the video its choppy

Is class 2 fast enough for P&S cameras like SD1200?

still plenty fast for just about everyone..

it's five bucks. perfect for trail cams (very popular here), ordinary point-and-shoot digital cameras, or even as a supplemental backup medium for your card-reader equipped pc.
