Got the site to load up and after looking at it, I will pass. yes even for .49 cent its not worth it. The holes are not placed or cut properly at all. If you want an off center case then great!

Maybe I can help you a bit. I just did a ton of research on cases for my new iphone.

Seemed to be 3 main categories:
  • slider (plastic) cases
+ good for sliding in/out of pockets
    - clunky
    - questionable shock protection, can scuff iphone because it's hard, etc.
  • silicone cases
    + better fit
    - bad for sliding in/out of pockets (linty and grabs sides)
    - limited drop protection
  • leather cases and holsters
    + clean
    + convenient
    - few protect all sides/corners
    - most leave iphone naked when you take it out of case
    - easy to knock and drop
    - most have switched to velcro closure due to magnets affecting compass in 3GS

I almost pulled the gun on a nice leather/slider combo from Marware [marware.com]. Several users reported Marware still sold the case with a magnet closure if you went directly to their website. Unfortunately, customer support said they have stopped selling that version completely. If you don't mind velcro, this is still a good option.

I ended up getting the Otterbox Commuter TL from Amazon [amazon.com]. It combines the benefits of silicone AND slider cases. Extremely well designed with minimal openings, as opposed to all the cheap cases you see that have generic huge openings. Good bang for the buck IMO.

If you need more protection (waterproofing), I read a lot of people are happy with the Otterbox defender. There is a babypowder fix for the oily smudges some people get on that one.

Cheap Chinese stuff scares me. The last thing I want is a Lead contaminated fingers and palm.

I'm not sure if I'd go so far as to say they were not placed or cut properly. That gives the impression they made a manufacturing mistake, which you obviously can't know unless you actually have one. I will however concede that the design and placement of some the holes don't make any sense. There's a hole cut out for what I presume to be the "face detector" which lets the iPhone know you're holding it up to your ear. However, the case is transparent so it probably doesn't need one of those! I guess there's a color, non-transparent version out there?

Besides, it's only $.49!

Thanks for the post and repped. I have a silicon case on my Blackjack II right now, so I'm aware of the lint issues and not being able to easily slide in and out of my pocket. I think that's still my first choice though, also I'll also look closely at the Otterbox Commuter. Thanks again!
