This was just $38 at amazon the other day, and I thought that was a good deal. It's been ~$55 for a while. Should have waited.

How does BlueTrack combine "the power of optical with the precision of laser"??? What the hell is that supposed to mean?

With that said, I got a Bluetrack notebook mouse two days ago. I like it a lot, except the scroll wheel doesn't work properly after waking from sleep under Vista. Seems like many people have this problem with BlueTrack mice. I wound up writing a Task Scheduler event to restart my USB devices on every wakeup. A BIG pain, especially considering Microsoft's peripherals should work flawlessly with their OS.

I'm basically 75% happy with it. The hardware itself is great!

From the reviews, sounds like the mouse burns through batteries (typical for optical), and the mouse wheel sux. I need a wireless keyboard, but I'm going to pass on this one. Plus, that mouse looks horrible.

The mouse looks better than the HP mouse.

I had this set since mid June this year. I only had to swap my batteries once, so I think it lasts about 3-4 months. Granted, I'm using Eneloop rechargeables, so that may have lasted longer than normal batteries.

I got this set mainly because of the keyboard. It was the only wireless keyboard that had the traditional INS/DEL/HOME/END/PGUP/PGDN keys (I use those quite often).

In terms of wireless range, it's awesome. I have been using it for about 10 ft away without any problem.

Bemanix88, I use it in Windows 7. I have never experienced that problem. My computer goes into standby almost every night.
