Hope this isn't a repost - I didn't see anything about this deal at K-Mart.
My local store has had the Roomba 400 on clearance at $100 for months but they finally dropped down to $75.

Bought this Wednesday, but Thursday there was a coupon posted for $10 off $20 purchases over at this thread: http://slickdeals.net/forums/show...?t=1926020

So the price could come down to $65 + tax

Edit: It looks like the $10 coupon is mostly dead now. If you're lucky, you might get a manager to do an override and accept it.
Edit2: At this point, it seems to be near impossible to use the coupon at all outside of the approved areas but should work fine at the authorized locations in NY, Chicago, Baltimore, and Long Island. See the thread above for details.

Surely this is going to be a huge YMMV deal.

I know it's not the latest greatest model by any stretch, but still a reasonably good price IMHO.

froogled it - the price looks pretty good. Is there one Roomba that is best for hardwood? We have almost no carpet - if anyone has experience shopping for one already - I'm not asking you to research for me.

All I know is that I use my Roomba exclusively on hard wood.. because it doesn't work as well on my carpeted floors... Hope that helps.

i wish i still had my 400 series roomba; my 500 series has been a headache so far. i have to clean the brushes before the battery goes dead, every time.

Works great on hard wood floors i have 2 roombas. they are awesome.

Are these this price at all K-Marts if in stock or does the price vary by location?

No, I checked last night and it was still $150 at my local Kmart.

$75 is a good price for these but i heard they get stuck on chairs

Also, according to the $10 off $20 thread the coupon is now being rejected at the register (though the pdf is still available from kmart.com)

Yeah - read that as well and edited the first post with a warning. Sad as I didn't get a chance to make it out last night to do a return/rebuy with the coupon on this deal. Ah well.

I just went out and bought one! Manager said they got a call from headquarters instructing them not to accept the $10 off $20 purchase coupons. I got a $5 off $50 coupon for signing up for Kmart email updates. So, I was able to get the Roomba for $70 AC!! Thanks OP!

Does anybody have a K-mart part number for the Roomba 400?
